Training and Development Agency Training Bursary

Trainees on this course, who are ordinarily resident in the UK or European Union, will qualify for the £4000 Training Bursary. This is paid in 10 monthly instalments (from October to July).

Maintenance Grant

Trainees in England who satisfy residency requirements are eligible to apply for a maintenance grant of up to £2,906 depending on their household income. Trainees in receipt of the full maintenance grant will receive a mandatory bursary of at least £329.

Tuition Fees 2010-2011

Devon Primary SCITT is charging a tuition fee of £3,290 for the 2010-2011 Course. Eligible trainees can apply for a loan of this amount from the Student Loans Company. Trainees would have to repay the loan when they are earning over £15,000.

The most important strengths are the extremely high quality of the schools involved, the immensely professional and efficient management, the quality of the trainers and the feeling of security and trust. I feel it would be hard to prepare someone in one year to be a primary school teacher, better than the SCITT Course achieves. - Joe
